Student Ministries - Aurora Cornerstone Church

Welcome to Student Ministries at Aurora Cornerstone Church. We offer many opportunities for Jr. and Sr. High School students to learn about Jesus and grow in their walk with Him. Here are some of the things we do each week:

The Stand Sr. High

This is for students in grades 9 to 12. We meet every Thursday evening. At 3:00pm the church is open for our after school program with our Tuck Shop open with a delicious menu including Grilled Chicken Bacon Cheddar Panini Sandwiches, Pizza Slices, Chicken Nuggets, assorted Chocolate Bars and candy, Jones Soda and Smoothies! There are computers available for homework with Microsoft Office. We have ping pong and air hockey tables set up and comfortable couches and chairs ready for relaxing.

Our Sr. High service runs from 7:00 to 9:15 with a time of Worship and hearing from God’s word. This is a great time to grow in your relationship with Jesus.

After our service we have time until 10:00pm for hanging out, tuck shop, or playing a variety of games. We always have something fun happening.

We also have a discipleship program for all Sr. High students. This is a three level discipleship program that can be done over time. Our first level is our 5B program which is a one on one five week program with one of our Adult Leaders. This is an opportunity to strengthen your Christian walk and establish a firm foundation before leaving high school for College or University. Momentum Jr. High

This is for students in grades 5 to 8. We meet on Friday nights from 7:00 to 9:00pm. Each week we have a time of worship, fun game show games based off the shows “Let’s Make A Deal” or “Minute to Win It,” a time to hear from God’s word, and time to have a lot of fun.

Each half of the school year we have a competition between four groups: Grade 5-6 boys, grade 5-6 girls, grade 7-8 boys and grade 7-8 girls. Students can earn points by bringing their Bibles, bringing friends who have never been to Momentum, and by memorising each week’s memory verse.

Our Tuck Shop is open before and following each Jr. High night, so don’t forget to bring a couple bucks for a snack!

Leadership in Training

This is for anyone in grades 7 to 12 and we meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00pm. This night is dedicated to training youth in discipleship, leadership and servant hood principles so they can be mature in Christ and serve in the church.
