The Bible uses word pictures to describe the church: family, flock, body.
As a “family” we enjoy doing things together like having fun, eating and caring for one another. As a “flock” (of sheep, not geese) we come together to learn from each other, challenge each other and comfort each other. As a “body” we discover how our different skills, talents and gifts can be used to serve one another and our community so we are functioning in Jesus’ name as a beacon of love and safety.
